live audition process
Upon arrival at a live audition site, applicants will register and be assigned a number. Their application, letter of recommendation, audition fee and photograph will be collected.
Applicants will first be taught the jazz combination by an instructor. After learning the combination they will be evaluated in groups of 3 to 5. The same process will then be followed for the tap audition. If applicants have no tap experience they will be allowed to sit out this part of the audition. There is an interest in tappers who improvise well.
When the dance audition is complete, students will go in order by the numbers they were assigned to perform their songs and monologues. When they have completed this they are released from the audition.
